Thank you, I tried to make something less earthly for this last series of statues.

Looks very cool, Paul. I love the skin texture and the metallic shades on it.

Thanks! :) I tried to play up the slimy feel with all the clear resin, glazes and metallics, it's hard to capture in a static image though I am happy with the result.

Any progress on these guys? ;D Been curious as to how they'll turn out.

The clear resin is taking it's sweet time curing, my desire is to get that all settled before I sell them so no one accidentally damages them. A little more last minute touches with the paint and then the felt bases remain.

Amazing how artists spend a disproportionate amount of time waiting for things to dry, set, or cure in some way or another!

What sort of felt do you use for bases by the way? Regular old craft felt?

It's quite true, when painting in acrylic I often have a hair dryer on hand to speed up the drying process.

Yep, it's plain old crafty crafting felt.

I tend to keep a small fan on my desk. Finish a bit of painting, point the fan at it. Also works nicely for alcohol/lighter fluid on sculptures.
